Acutonics- Observations on Level II

Hi, my name is David Bent. I am a practitioner of Oriental medicine, with 10 years of clinical experience . My training has been primarily in Traditional Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and Qigong. Recently, I have been studying and practicing Acutonics, which is a combination of Oriental Medicine, sound healing, and Astrology.

This post is being written as I am assimilating my third class in Acutonics. The aim of this blog is to illustrate the process of a traditionally trained acupuncturist as I venture into the more spiritual realms of this ancient medicine.

This morning we took part in a meditation, which ended with a prayer for “liberation from suffering for all beings”. To me, this slice of the class may be the real reason I got into Oriental medicine. I have always had a deep desire to help others. In my experience, our culture’s present relationship to ancient forms of healing is mostly pragmatic. We want relief from pain, a good nights sleep, or a little extra energy to make it through a stressful day.

It’s an excellent idea to improve our functioning as humans, in the context of our busy lives. At some point, the improvement of that functioning demands the individual approach spiritual matters. As an acupuncturist, I rarely give myself permission to even breach the topic with my patients. I am aware of a deep cultural wound around spiritual matters.

When I discovered Acutonics, it was as a patient. I was amazed at the passiveness of the experience. I didn’t even have to endure the needle poke, or stay awake for that matter. The mandatory sedation that seems to come into play most of the time with Acutonics was profound for me. I hadn’t been that relaxed in a long time. When I woke up, I briefly had no idea where I was. In addition, I had a feeling that I can only describe as being in touch with my spiritual nature.

Acutonics allows the practitioner to “upload” archetypal information into the patients energy field, based on perceived imbalances in this field. The archetypes that have been around in our culture for a very long time come into play in the way we diagnose and treat these imbalances. For example, if a patient’s relationship to the Saturn archetype is weak, he or she may be experiencing a lack of structure or discipline in their lives. We can correct this imbalance by introducing the proper vibrational signatures by utilizing tuning forks, gongs, and singing bowls that are precisely calibrated.

We seem to be at a juxtaposition in our evolution as human beings on this planet. Our environmental situation demands our attention. Our material fixations have created this crisis on the planet, so it is only natural that we look to spiritual principles for correction of our present path. Yet, due to the cultural wounding created by structures such as the church, people are wary of fully embracing spiritual ideas.

Here is where the brilliance of Acutonics becomes evident. Here is a user-friendly therapy that can treat physical symptoms at the same time it treats more spiritual imbalances. Due to the introduction of pure archetypal information into the energy field, assimilation of spiritual ideals is a natural and easful process.
